At Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, Nathan competed in his first grappling tournament and did very well.
As a beginner he placed first in the Gi competition (Gi -pronounced "gee"-is the garb that they wear with the jacket, pants and belt). First place winners received a Samurai sword.
His very first match in the "no Gi" competition he lost by points. Nathan had the kid in an arm bar, but let go because he heard the kids arm pop.
He received a free fight and was bumped up a bracket to intermediate and placed 2nd.
We're so proud of him!

Trent actually showed me the post. I think he was looking up your son Nathan online. Yes, that is Trent in the third photo. It was Trent's Second NAGA. It was so funny because Trent said that he hoped to be the most "buff" kid there but was upset to see how muscular Nathan looked. BOYS and their muscles!!!
Trent actually did suffer a break but continued on to win 1st place that day. Will Nathan be doing NAGA in November in Boca?
