Monday, August 18th, the kids were back in school! Then comes Tropical Storm Fay. Dang her! Now school is cancelled for Tuesday and possibly Wednesday. If anything comes of it, we'll take pictures and post them. We've decided to go ahead and plan a Tropical Storm party, we're always looking for excuses to celebrate. Like the time we dressed up as po' (poor) people and ate TV dinners cause we owed the government money for the tax year. Or our "surprise guest" dinners where our guests show up in disguise and the kids have to guess who it is. Or the time the older boys finished up a week of art camp and we had an art show and invited friends and family to come and participate in voting for their best work of art! When kids are around, there is always a reason to celebrate. So why was I happy that school has started? Oh, that's right... so I can celebrate the peace and quiet while they are away all day! Thanks Fay, for raining on my parade!
