I am not a Floridiot!!

It's Tuesday morning, 6:30am to be precise, and my phone rings. On the other end of the receiver I hear  my brother's voice say, "What's the code to your gate?". My response was, "No way, you are not at my house." Well he was! Along with my other brother and sister-in-law who flew in from Vegas. After telling him the code to open the gate I hung up the phone and told Joe they were here. He said, "I know, they told me not to tell you they were coming." I said, "I thought you were my friend. If you were keeping it secret you could have at least straightened up the house!"

So that was the beginning of a two day whirlwind. Later that afternoon we headed out to St. Petersburg to attend Mitt Romney's non-victory party. We had such high hopes that he would get the nomination here in Florida. I did my part in trying to make that happen. I am not a Floridiot! I'm so glad that we made the trip out to St. Pete to meet Mitt Romney. Seeing him and hearing him on TV does him no justice. There is a certain aura about him that cannot be seen through the idiot box known as television. He's a very impressive man who demands your attention as soon as he walks into the room. If you think he's handsome on TV or in pictures, he's even more so in person. Another thing that really stood out about him is when he shook our hands he looked us right in the eye and said, "Thank you for your support". It felt genuine. I urge anyone who has the opportunity to meet him to do so and get a better feel of what a great president this man would make. If he gets the republican nomination I want to be more actively involved in campaigning for him. Go MITT!

The next day we went to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. I let the kids skip school and go with us! We had a great time. I'm glad we saved the rides like "The Hulk", "Spider -Man", and "Dueling Dragons" for the end of the day. We all felt a bit woozy, except Robbie who was smart enough not to go on those rides. I'll post pictures soon!

Robbie, Trent and Andi... Thanks for making the surprise visit to Orlando to spend time with us. We love you! Andi, you are the greatest poser ever (besides me, lol). We were posing all night long for the media during Mitt's party. Andi was even quoted in the Boston Herald.
Good Times!!
